Things to know about Alia’s subtle yet beautiful Bridal look!
We always await celebrity weddings for some cool inspirations and when we heard about the Ranbir-Alia wedding, we couldn’t contain our excitement. The couple’s wedding pictures were a total treat for the eyes and we literally fell in love with them. Above all, we rarely see a celebrity bride with a minimal or no-makeup look! Alia Bhatt rocked her bridal look with no heavy makeup, no bun and not even a heavy bridal lehenga – red or otherwise.
She was decked up with all things Sabyasachi from head to toe, but still, she stood out from all the recent celebrity Sabya brides. She went for a subtle and elegant look in almost no makeup, open hair, a dainty saree and stacked jewellery! We are sensing that she has set a new trend for the new brides? And of course, her lovely dimpled smile was the most beautiful thing she was wearing at her wedding!
Starting with her stunning saree…
Alia wore a dreamy organza saree in ivory and gold for her ceremony- which literally happened on the balcony of their house! The whole look was understated, elegant and looked very pretty on her, and if we compare it to the celeb standards, she chose to be simple as it could be! We could see that theme in her bridal mehendi as well. She chose to be simple with it again and got a mandala design on the palm and a design on the fingers making look all pretty.
The next thing about Alia’s bridal look which created a buzz all over the internet was her loose hair that was minimally styled with just some soft waves and a hairband style mathapatti, which was the key highlight of her bridal hairstyle! She chose a beautiful bib style necklace with polki work, gorgeous jhumkis and stacked kadas to complete a bridal look. What caught our eyes was her tiny polki infinity mangalsutra which was more than perfect to finish the look. Her stacked kadas and bangles accentuated her simple bridal look nicely and suited her well. The best part of her look was that there was no pop of colour in her look and it was all timeless ivory and gold!
What we adored the most were her minimal yet beautiful, kaleere that had lovely cloud and infinity charms and was designed by Mrunalini Chandra. Oh, and that classic French manicure was complimenting her look too!
The little personalisation on the blouse was a total love! Those butterflies embroidered on it added a whimsical touch to the look! Above all their wedding date was also embroidered on the dupatta- making it a cute keepsake!
In the end, we just wanted to say, that her simple gold dupatta over her head matching the embroidery on her saree, was a delight to see! Her look was definitely a very nice refreshing change for the upcoming brides, that too a celebrity bride!
