Foods that every bride should avoid on their wedding day
There is a long checklist of things for the wedding day that needs to be perfect. The list includes perfecting the wedding attire, makeup, shoes and so on. But there is one thing all brides forget to include in all that chaos… which is something to eat. It’s a very common mistake done by the brides which we want you to avoid. Your wedding day must be filled with lots of hustle and excitement and you can easily forget to bring snacks to munch on while prepping for your big day. We strongly suggest you to choose comfort to avoid nausea, bloating, and gas.
You can quell those hunger pangs on your wedding day with anything healthy except the below-mentioned foods.
Sugary foods
Sugar cravings are really natural but you have to save yourself from the sweet treats. Just try to stay away from cakes and instead go for some fruits instead except bananas and grapes as they are both high in sugar. You can switch to low-fructose bets such as berries, kiwi, and citrus.
Food with cheese on it
Though we know cheese makes everything better be it a pizza, pasta or a tempting cheese but it can cause some not-so-nice side effects. It has a hard-to-digest fat making you vulnerable to nausea, bloating, and fatigue.
Too much of coffee
We are all inclined towards a hot cup of coffee to function. But having it on your wedding day may make you feel jittery and anxious. If you are really craving for a cup, so you can go for a cup of Joe or brew some herbal tea to calm your nerves on your D-Day.
Say no to alcohol!
There are chances that you may have easy access to alcohol on your wedding but that doesn’t mean you should have it. Just stay away from champagne, decadent cocktails and also beer and carbonated beverages that release carbon dioxide in the stomach, which will result in bloating and belching.
Spicy food
Being the bride you can’t afford any uneasiness on your wedding day. Eating spicy food may result in acid reflux or heartburn which may further lead to bad breath which you may not want on your wedding day.
Fried Foods
Fried and greasy foods may make you feel heavy as they are fatigue-causing. Instead, choose a salad with an oil-based dressing that will surely to bolster your energy. You can also go for avocados, coconut oil, and olive oil which are really safe and also keep the blood sugar stable for long periods of time.
Carbs
Sometimes dry fruits, bread, crackers, and potato chips are the easiest approach for the bride but all of them have an unhealthy amount of carbs. They also contain high amounts of fibre that can further result in gas production during digestion. Instead go for easy to digest grains such as buckwheat, rice, quinoa, and millet, that have better digestibility and also reduce bloating.
Just, don’t have anything unhealthy as ruining your health would be the last thing you want to happen on your wedding day!
